About Sian Highwood
Sian Highwood is a textile artist based in London creating work, often incorporating the garment, that mostly responds to the personal.
“We have a reciprocal relationship with our clothes. We affect the garment and it affects us in return”.
She has completed a Masters in Textiles in 2019, achieving a distinction, and is now part way through a Practice Led Fine Art PhD.
Her work has been shown at the OXO Gallery, London, The Oxmarket Gallery, Chichester, and Vessel, York St. John University. Also, she was Artist in Residence at a garden in Windsor during 2019.
Sian is a member of The Makers’ Art Collective and The Society of Designer Craftsmen.
